HOMESan Mateo PAL
Since 1997, San Mateo PAL has provided recreational, educational, and leisure activities at little or no cost to thousands of San Mateo youth. Supported by a volunteer board of directors and a staff consisting of police officers, Parks & Recreation Staff and city employees, the San Mateo Police Activities League is building a stronger and safer community through kids – our most valuable asset.
To create an early bond between youth and police officers in order to build respect for the law at an early age. This helps to steer kids in the right direction, create lasting mentorships which will help them throughout their life, helps to resist the negative influences they all face and keeps our kids and community safe.
SAN MATEO PAL
The San Mateo Police Activities League (PAL) was developed in 1997 by a small group of Police officers and members of the community. Since its inception, San Mateo PAL has provided recreational, educational and leisure activities at little or no cost to thousands of youth in San Mateo, Foster City and surrounding cities.
San Mateo PAL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, operating under the San Mateo Police Department in collaboration with the Department of Parks and Recreation. PAL relies on a combination of funding resources such as grant funds, individual donations and corporate sponsorships to deliver our programs.
Without the support of our donors we would not be able to reach all the youth, families, and community members we do.
