Come on out to the Autumn Moon 🌕 Festival at Central Park today. It’s a great way to kick off Fall 🍁🍂 and take in the crisp autumn air. While you’re there, don’t forget to stop 🛑 by our PAL booth.

We also appreciate San Mateo Police Department Chief Barberini for ...stopping by.

Per Safe Kids Worldwide, 44 kids are hit by a car while walking every day in the U.S. That's 44 too many! To get that number to zero, we needs to teach our kids basic safety tips to help keep them safe.

Firstly, we need to teach them as soon as they can understand the importance of ...looking left, then right, and then left again. Secondly, we need to remind them of the importance of sidewalks and walking paths. There's many more safety tips out there, but we'd say thirdly, lead by example. Kids mirror adult behaviors and what they see. So let your actions speak just as loud as your words.

🚍Parents, now that the kiddos are back in school, please go over these important school bus safety tips with them to help keep them and others safe as they make their way to and from school.

🛑And for the adults, school buses use affixed stop signs, so make sure when it is in action ...you treat it just like you would any other stop sign and stop. Help our kids cross the street safely.

We are so glad to have members of the San Mateo Police Department participating in this year's Junior Giants season. Captain Lethin (pictured below) took time out of his busy schedule to coach, as did another officer and Sergeant, who coached their own individual teams. The season is always ...supported by our Youth Services Unit (YSU), who always show up to represent.
