Be a PAL Kid!
The San Mateo Police Activities League provides a variety of supervised recreational, social and educational activities for kids ages 5-18 in San Mateo and our surrounding community. The program management is a joint collaboration between the San Mateo Police Department and the San Mateo Parks and Recreation Department that focuses on the prevention of juvenile delinquency and crime by creating meaningful, positive experiences between police officers and youth.
Memberships
are FREE.
To register for a program you must be a PAL Member.
Follow These 2 Steps to Register
Enrichment classes are learning experiences that go above and beyond what is possible in the traditional school classroom. With small student-to-instructor ratios, they create an environment in which students are free to explore individual interests, take full advantage of personal qualities, socialize with likeminded peers, and utilize their instructor as a mentor and role model.
Step 1. Membership Registration

Register through the City of San Mateo Parks and Recreation website.
Create a family account, then search for PAL Membership to begin.

In Person
Complete your membership form at the PAL Office.
(Open Monday–Thursday, Noon–5pm.)

Step 2. Register For An Activity
Register Online
Register for PAL activities through the City of San Mateo Parks and Recreation website. Search PAL to view available programs and activities.
Sign Up In Person
Visit the PAL Office to learn about current programs and register in person. Open Monday–Thursday, Noon–5pm. You must be a PAL Kid to register.
